BAFTA-winning designer and director Kate Dawkins specialises in creating bespoke visuals for live performances.

After 20 years in the industry, working on events including the London 2012 Olympic ceremonies and the MTV Music Awards, Dawkins decided to found her own studio.

Its biggest project to date was an hour-long series of light-projections at Ypres Cloth Hall to mark the centenary of the Battle of Passchendaele. Images from the first world war conflict lit up the 70-metre tall building, with the performance broadcast live on the BBC.

The studio was later awarded a BAFTA for their work on the event.

When it came to finding a home for her studio, Dawkins knew she would need her own space after years of running it from a rented desk at an agency.

After coming across Containerville, Dawkins immediately knew it was a “perfect fit”, and we love having her as part of the community.
